Verisign’s COM NET registry- the authoritative registry for .com and .net domain names recently announced that they will be changing their Domain Secret implementation on the 15th of November, 2009.

As per the new rules a Domain Secret must be 8-32 characters long and contain at least one number, one letter and one special character.

There will be no impact on existing Domain Names; they can be Transferred with the current Domain Secret itself.
