We were pretty much excited about the prospect of working on this project when we were approached by the convention, mostly because of the challenge it presented us with — what better motivation?

Well, as usual, we went straight to the drawing board on this, with our creative team working up a design layout that would essentially take out all the clutter from the existing site design, whiles at the same time presenting information about the convention’s activities “at-a-glance“!

We then integrated WordPress into the mix, working up this design into a customized WP theme, thereby converting WordPress into a Content Management System (CMS) structured in such a way that virtually every aspect of the site can be managed from the WordPress back-end.

We also developed a jQuery-powered AJAX application for conference registration, which allows participants submit an abstract. Participants are required to enter the details of their abstract, and these details are parsed, formatted, and rendered as a PDF file, which is then included as an email attachment and sent to the organizers.

The Gracefields project saw us do a redesign of their existing website; the purpose being to reflect the Church’s current brand image, and provide a medium through which they could fulfill their mission of “Reaching out to the world with love“. The new website features: a new, sleek design, and a Blog / news publishing system powered by a customized content management platform, based on the WordPress publishing platform.

We also threw in a few extra features such as a photo gallery, and media streaming. The site can now be viewed live at http://gracefields.org
